Boston's 2nd Birthday

After Vegas, we had one week at home until we all left for Arizona. The kids finished their last week of school before Spring Break, I got everyone haircuts, and I even fit in a mini party for Boston's 2nd birthday!

We didn't do anything big for his party, if you can even call it that. I made a cake and we went to my parent's house for dinner, and then watched Boston open a few presents. I went with an Elmo theme, because Boston is obsessed with his Tickle Me Elmo and it's the cutest thing in the world. Making an Elmo cake was really fun! I used the grass tip to make the red icing look like fur, and then used fondant for the eyes, nose and mouth. Boston liked the cake, but got a little shy when it was time to blow out the candles. He was a pro at opening presents though, and it was really fun to watch him do that. He got some Elmo books, playdoh, and an Elmo bubble machine later on from Grandma Ady, which are all of his favorite things! It was a fun time.

I can't believe I don't have a baby anymore! Boston is growing up way too fast and is way too smart for his own good. We really can't believe how much he understands the world and anticipates needs. He loves to help in the kitchen by bringing me exactly what I need. He sets the table exactly how it always is, and also brings everyone their shoes when it's time to go. He's the busiest boy I know and slides a chair around the house to get to EVERYTHING. He's talking up a storm lately and I just love his little voice. His favorite thing is definitely his Tickle Me Elmo, but he loves all stuffies and sleeps with his puppy and bear too. He's also obsessed with "mama" and follows me around all the time to make sure I don't leave without him. He doesn't miss a thing and knows exactly when you are digging into something yummy! He'll eat anything and still has a great 2 hour nap that's always a welcome break for me! He's started to love music and his favorite songs are "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "the ABC's." He will do anything to keep up with his older siblings and really is such a fast learner, already gliding along on a scooter. We all love our Boss baby around here and just want to kiss him all day long. He's definitely a charmer, always with the best smiles, and can be so silly too! Happy 2nd birthday Boss!
