Mother's Day and Jeff's 40th birthday landed on the same day! So, we decided to basically cancel both and make it easy on each other. I did still plan a date night going out for dinner at Alloy and we decided to do something for Jeff in the future. It's such a big birthday, but we had Disneyworld coming up in 1 week and we were both drained! Dinner was delicious, and they even brought out a yummy dessert with a candle for Jeff.
Boston fell asleep on Jeff on his birthday and it was the cutest thing! He never does that anymore.
The Manville's came into town and gave us the exciting news that they are moving back to Calgary soon and looking to buy a house! They ended up buying one right next to Tamara and Lee's house in Sundance. It'll be fun having them back. They also decided to surprise Jeff for his birthday and take him out to the Flames game. It was hard to keep the secret, but I managed to get a babysitter and set it up without telling him. After he came home from work they showed up at the door wearing flames jerseys and Jeff answered it, surprised that they were even in town! It was a lot of fun, and the game was great. It was the playoffs and they won again! The excitement of all the fans made it even better.
I got the cutest notes from the kids for Mother's Day! It's so fun when they get old enough to make these at school.
Lena had her babies and we went for a visit! I brought her some dinner and all the kids and me got to hold them. They were so cute, but I'm not jealous of all the work they are going to create! I could barely hold them both. She named them Jasper and Henry.
The weather got nicer some days, but sure didn't stay warm for long. We played outside when we could. Jeff and I started preparing for the big Disneyworld trip with the kids! There was a lot of prep work, but we were so excited. Also, Boston took off walking and grew up in a day. Deacon always find joy in the little things, like some flowers that started to bloom at his school.
Disneyworld here we come!!!!!
