Summer Fun 2017

Besides going to the cabins, I've been trying to do lots of fun things with the kids this summer. I developed a love for hiking and exploring the beauty that is so close to us! Unfortunately, Bentley hasn't developed that same love, and tells me she's tired right from the beginning. But I did manage a hike with her and the next one I took Jeff with us! She likes some parts of it (like having a picnic), so I just have to keep trying with her. She's still so little. Deacon loved riding on mine or Jeff's back! With some friends we did the Big Hill Springs Trail, and with Jeff and the Bennett's we did Grotto Canyon. Both gorgeous trails that lead to a waterfall!

We've also been enjoying walks in Fish Creek. Annie's, the ice-cream store there, has been a big hit!

I decided to try out a new splash park one day so we headed over to South Glenmore Park. We had a picnic and the kids loved playing in the little kiddie pool. There were also some pretty cool playgrounds!

We also tried out Riley Park. They have a wading pool, which was perfect for my littles! There's also some cool playgrounds there as well.

Bentley got to go to a breakfast and the parade at the Stampede with Grandma Ady. She was so excited when we told her the night before that when we woke her up the next morning she jumped out of bed and started getting dressed. She had a blast!

On Canada Day we had the Locking's over for a BBQ and then relaxed in our backyard while the kids played in the pool and with the other toys. We filled up the pool with warm water and they played for literally 4 hours straight, hardly even bugging us! It was nice!

We love going to the park, and while we're there Deacon likes looking at the tractors and trucks nearby rather than playing on the equipment! He's definitely a boy. Anything with wheels are his favorite!

We've still got a couple weeks left of summer, but it's getting closer to September, which is sad and exciting at the same time!
