May

May was a busy month getting back into school, basketball, gymnastics for Leo and Boston, spirit week at school, Jeff's top client event, a temple visit, and missionaries coming over. All the things! Mother's day was in there too, which is always so nice to see all the little gifts and cards the kids made for me. They made me an omelet for breakfast, which was very kind. We also had dinner at my parents house to celebrate. Jeff's birthday landed on his client event night, so we celebrated the night before. I had my parents take the kids while we spent a great evening at home and ordered Indian food. It was also Grandma Ady's 90th birthday, so we celebrated with some of Jeff's extended family with lunch and cake at the church. It was a lot of fun! Leo had a couple of loose teeth, one on the top and one on the bottom. Those ones came out and then he basically pulled out his other front tooth by sheer will power. I don't think it was ready to come out at all, or even wiggly, but when Leo wants something he makes it happen! He got lots of coins from the tooth fairy! I also had an unfortunate event happen to me. I was driving my new van and had someone hit me pretty hard and wreck the back bumper. I had Boston in the car and it was a little scary, and kind of weird that we were just going straight and got hit. The guy kept driving away and I was worried he was going to run, so I laid on my horn. He eventually pulled over and said he was just looking for a place to park, but to this day I'm not so sure if that was really his thought process. He was going pretty fast even after he hit me! Luckily he was nice and cooperative afterwards, and apologized. After we had exchanged numbers and information he left and I was sitting in my car for a second, when another vehicle pulled up. She wanted to see what had happened and told me about how that guy was speeding so fast and almost hit her too! I got her number as well in case I needed a witness of any kind. It was all okay and I didn't have to pay for anything to get fixed, but it's such a hassel!
Tamara and I signed up for our second mini Hyrox and it was in May. It was actually on the same day that Jeff and I were leaving for England. I thought about it being too much for me, but then decided I wanted to do it! The flight wasn't until 8pm, so I could do both. I got really nervous for this one for some reason, but always feel so glad I did it when it's done. I was especially happy this time because Tamara and I killed it and beat our last time by 4 whole minutes! We had lots of fun and also loved watching Lee and Mason compete against each other. It's so hard to watch them struggle through on their own and it can look like torture as their legs are just shaking, but they both did a great job! Tamara and I might take a little break from the mini Hyrox now, to avoid some stress, but we'll see. I was glad to rest on the airplane after that on my way to England with just Jeff and I. I will post about this next!
