February was a very busy month. We went for some walks and apparently Deacon thought it was warm enough for shorts? Jeff went to California for Scott's birthday and went to some NBA games. They also hit up Disney and Universal Studios. It was pretty rough for me watching all the kids and we were all very jealous, but it actually made us book our own trip to Disney World in May! The kids were excited when Jeff brought home the big lollipops too.
Valentines Day came and I had gotten some pretty cute cards ready for the kids to give to their classmates, but I forgot about doing any sort of present or fun thing in the morning. Luckily I had picked up some chocolate lollipops, and then I just made some heart shaped pancakes out of what we had leftover! Then I put notes and little chocolates in the kids lunches too.

Besides Bentley's baptism and Deacon's birthday party we had a lot of other things going on as well. We went to Trevor Locking's birthday at Canadian brewhouse, and then to Ryan Locking's birthday at Sho Sushi Bar and Kitchen. They were both so fun! We played ping-pong at the brewhouse, and it was the best sushi I had ever had at Sho. Jeff and I also got another date night out because of a late Christmas party for EXG, a company Jeff is investing in. We went to Jubilations theater where they were performing "Schipps Creek." It was a spin off of Schitt's Creek, which we love, so it was so funny to watch. I was amazed at how good their acting was and how real it was to the actual TV show. We laughed a lot and had such a great time. The food was decent too, but the entertainment was better! We also hit up Treehouse one day when the kids had no school, and we had the Bennett's over one night as well. It had been a while since we'd hung out with them, so we thought it was time. We ate take-out, chocolate fondue, and let the kids go in the hot tub. Lena is pregnant with twins, so she's about to go on a real journey!
It had been a while since we had done something fun together as a family, and I was needing a little getaway, so we booked a hotel in Kananaskis for 2 nights. It was the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. I had seen a picture of the pool, and knew we had to go there! It definitely did not disappoint. We went swimming 3 different times and the kids just had such a blast there. There were waterslides, and also a big hottub that led outside, which was so fun too. We went to the restaurant lots, the toy room, exercise room (the kids loved trying out all the different machines!), and even roasted marshmallows by the fire one night. Unfortunately it happened to be -30 the whole time we were there, so my outdoor plans were ruined. I wanted to go tubing at Nakiska and skating at the rink right outside the hotel. We still managed to have a lot of indoor fun though! I also brought a bag of dollar store activities and treats, which was handy.
