Surprise Arizona trip

It seemed a little out of character for us, but my mom, Tamara and I all decided to go to Arizona to surprise Joce! We hadn't visited for a while and Joce kept hinting that she really wanted someone to come visit. So we decided to go Nov.26-29 just us girls, no kids or husbands. Jeff took off a couple days of work to watch the kids for me. He's gone on lots of guy trips and has always told me he would be fine if I wanted a girls trip, so he had no problem with it!
It was weird packing for just me, I felt like I was forgetting something! It was also really nice to sit on an airplane and be able to just read a book and relax. When we got there Leslie picked us up and drove us to Joce and Jeff's house. She was borrowing a tool of some sort, and we weren't really sure how to do the surprise part, but we just all walked in while Leslie videoed us and Joce was so confused! Jeff had to keep this a secret for a long time and it was worth it, we got a great reaction! It was so nice to see all of her family, and little Mabel looked so adorable even though she started screaming when I grabbed her. Too much excitement!

We had a great few days together, even though I was pretty tired a lot of the time...this pregnancy has been taking it out of me! But Joce had lots of good ideas of things we could do, and Jeff was so nice to watch the kids one day while we went out as just girls. Mabel was also such a trooper as we dragged her around with us everywhere. We went to the temple one night and they have the most beautiful display of Christmas lights! I was pretty impressed, and it was nice to walk around looking at them and not be freezing. We also drove around to look at lights, and there are some pretty amazing ones. One day we went to Top Golf, which is like a driving range but with different colored holes you aim for. Anyways, we were pretty sad to watch...I've hardly ever golfed and none of us really knew what we were doing. But we did improve as we went, especially Tamara! It was a lot of fun. We also did a lot of shopping and eating out of course! I finished a lot of my Christmas shopping, and Arizona has so many good restaurants it was always so hard to choose where to go. I think the Snow Cone place was one of our favorite stops though! Joce and Jeff's house is gorgeous, they did a great job. They have lots of land around them and plan on eventually putting in a pool. They have some orange and pecan trees which we ate from, even though not in season, they were really good.

We had a great trip! When we were headed home I was nervous to see how the kids, especially Deacon, would react with me being away from him. I got home when they were in bed, so I saw them the next morning when they woke up. Deacon acted a lot more normal this time and Bentley didn't seem sad at all that I had left, but asked for her "prize" as I told her I would buy her something! It was a nice getaway.
Before I left I had taken Bentley to this place called "The Dove's Nest" where they have high tea in the afternoon. I thought it'd be fun to take a few little girls there so Lena came with Lucy and Jennie came with Georgia. It was adorable to watch them all together, all dressed up drinking "tea" and eating biscuits and such. I seriously can't get enough of these mother daughter dates!
