Valentine's and Dates

I'm not going to lie, ever since coming home from Mexico I've been in such a low mood. I think it's because it's still so cold out and these months have been dragging since I'm so looking forward to summer! I didn't think there was much to blog about, but after looking through my pictures I figured I better do an update.
Since I still don't have any school goers, holidays aren't a huge deal. But we did celebrate Valentine's Day a little bit with Bentley for Friday Fun Day. She decorated a cute little bag and exchanged cards with her little friends, along with a few other Valentine's related activities. I attempted a photo shoot with the kids and realized I would definitely gain a lot from a photography class! It turned into a wrestling match, which is a common thing for them these days.

We've been trying to fill our time with lots of play dates with friends, dance class, and Friday fun days. Bentley is obsessed with dressing up lately and her imagination is soaring. We've been starting to do Daddy Daughter dates each month. For the first one, Jeff took her to Mcdonald's for a happy meal and then played in the play place (we better get more creative, huh?). I also took Bentley out to get pedicures and she was the cutest! I felt like everyone was staring at her because she was so cute and her little feet could hardly touch the water. They probably thought I was crazy for bringing her, but she had so much fun and couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. They gave her sparkly fingers and toes and even painted little flowers on too. She definitely thrives on any one on one time.

Jeff and I have also been trying to do more date nights. One night we went to the Harlem Globe Trotters basketball game with some friends, and let's not forget Costa Vida before hand! Yum! Jeff actually bought a ball and I got some signatures on it. We've also been trying out some other restaurants and having some home date nights after the kids go to bed. One night we played scrabble for hours...we didn't realized how long that game took!

Well, life is good. Although with Bentley going through a tantrum phase right now it's very hard to remember that most days. It's the terrible 3's people! As I left my cart full of groceries I needed the other day and carried a screaming Bentley and unhappy Deacon out, I had to remember all the times Bentley tells me she loves me and acts super adorable. Haha!
