This year the Halloween festivities were a little more fun for Bentley since she's a little bit older now. She still didn't fully understand what was going on, but had fun dressing up and being with friends.
The week started out with a fun music makers class where all the kids dressed up. We still sang our songs, but the parents also brought candy and handed it out during our marching song. I borrowed a couple of costumes from Tamara so Bentley got to be a cute little witch.
That night for FHE we carved pumpkins with Lena, Jarren and Lucy. At first the kids were pretty intrigued, although they didn't seem to want to get their hands too messy. Then they ended up playing together while the parents finished the carving. It was a fun evening and the pumpkins turned out pretty good!
For Halloween night, we went to Steve and Melissa's house in New Brighton. We ordered some pizza for dinner and then dressed up the kids for some trick-or-treating. Bentley was an adorable little zebra this time since the costume was so warm! She looked pretty cute in it, and got lots of comments. She had fun with her friends Aspen and Porter who were Minnie Mouse and Mavis the vampire. We went for about a block (which took a long time!) and then Bentley was pretty much done. We went for another block so that Porter could get some more candy and then headed back to sort and eat the candy. We were all pretty pooped so we hung out for a little while and then headed home for bed. We sure are party animals!
