Jeff turned 41 in May so we went to Cactus Club Cafe with some friends. The one on Barlow is Jeff's favorite because it has an awesome enclosed patio that makes it less loud and more fun! The food has always made it one of our favorite places and we had a great time.
May was the start of summer(ish) activities like going on walks to the park, biking, picnics with friends, and even going to the lake for May Long. We also went to the Launch Pad with some friends to show off how bad I am at golf! And we discovered "Snowy Village" right in Legacy that is like a shaved milk treat. It is delicious and we love it!
Deacon got his green belt in Karate and was very excited about that because it is his favorite color. It's always fun to go watch how they test them. Deacon also lost one of his front teeth, which he was excited about, but I was a little sad! I guess I should be happy that he hung on to those for quite some time.
Mother's Day was also in there somewhere! The activity day leaders planned a Mother Daughter picnic at the temple so Bentley and I got to enjoy that. We brought Grandma along too. We shopped together for food and then packed a lunch and met at the temple. They had brought cupcakes for all of us, and had the temple worker share a message with us about the temple too. I really enjoyed the day, and of course on actual Mother's Day all the cards and gifts from the kids are always the cutest!
Bentley had photo/dress rehearsal day for dance so we got her all dressed up in her costumes with hair and makeup done. The parents got to come in and watch them dance and it was the best!
Boston had a bit of a freak accident. He fell down the 2 steps in the carpeted play room somehow and must have hit a toy to make a cut near his eyebrow. Nobody was there to witness it but it was pretty deep and open. I thought it might need stitches but was told glue would work. I'm hoping he doesn't have a permanent scar there, but we'll see! Poor buddy.
I also found a couple photos from the end of April where I went to Rebecca's baby shower for her little girl Jaina, and when I met up with Devvyn for the first time in about 6 years! Emily and Jacob also came and we got to catch up at the Canadian Brewhouse.
