November

Looking back at pictures from November, I realize we did a lot of eating out! Starting with our trip to Ihop on Remembrance Day. The kids had the day off school so we thought it'd be something to do. We didn't realize it was "kids eat free" day. That was a bonus!

Shopping for Bentley is one of my favorite things to do. Sometimes I just have to take a picture of her cute outfits!! Also, who can resist a good sleeping pic when your kid looks this handsome...

We went to the Canadian Brewhouse for date night one time and were excited when we found out we could get free nachos during my birthday month if we just downloaded their app. We added some brisket to them and they were the best nachos I've ever eaten!

Bryce had a birthday party and our kids had tons of fun playing and watching Bryce open up tons of monster trucks and dinosaur toys. These kids are too cute together!

I was also able to do a few last park days because the weather was decent for a few more weeks. I really couldn't believe the weather this year! The kids are loving their scooters these days, and Boston tolerates the stroller.

Cuddling in bed is never overrated!

I used my birthday this year as an excuse to do some of the things I've been wanting to do! On the actual day, we went to dinner at the Nash with the Lockings, and it was SO good. The food there is just incredible. Then the following week I got to do a girls spa day. I went with Angie, Rebecca, Jennie, and Emily to The Spa Ritual and we got pedicures and massages. It was really nice besides the fact that we were over 20 minutes late because of black ice in our community. It took us forever just to get out of Legacy, it was insane! So, our massage times were cut in half. That was a bummer! We did get some really delicious smoothies though. It was still a great time.

Scott and Kellie invited us to stay at a hotel one night and swim, and we just couldn't pass it up! Their kids were off school and ours weren't, but I decided to pull Bentley out for a morning. We went on a Thursday night to swim, and then ate breakfast there and swam again in the morning. Then I got Leo home before the bus came to pick him up for the afternoon, Deacon didn't have school that day, and I drove Bentley for the afternoon. It was such a fun time! We actually went to Boston Pizza for dinner with the whole Ady clan on Thursday as well. The kids loved swimming of course, and Boston had a great hour long nap in the hot tub. It was awesome!

Boston is growing up so fast! He sure likes to move and this month already started army crawling. He loooooooves water. Baths always calm him down. This month he was also sleep trained, and after 2 hard nights and quite a bit of crying, he now sleeps from 7:30-6:30 every night. 11 hours straight! It's great, but also still early to wake up. It's so nice to have our evening back though! Boston now has his own room, and the other 3 kids are all in one room. We put Leo down to bed first, and once he's asleep Bentley and Deacon can go in to bed. It is working well for us! Anyways, Boston is eating really well and growing fast. Here's a few cute pictures of him...

To finish off the month, we put up our Christmas tree! Now we're ready for December!!

Halloween and more

October came along, which meant Halloween decorations and new scary pajamas! We had a lot of fun with it this year.

Brent and Bailey had their twins in September, and we got to go to their baby blessings in October! They are adorable and it was so fun to hold them and see everyone. It boggles my mind thinking of taking care of two babies but they will do a great job! We are so happy for them. They had a boy named Jack and a girl named Tara. Bentley and Emri are thrilled there's another girl in the Ady family!

The baby blessing was on the Thanksgiving weekend, and so we also went to Don and Cindy's for dinner and a turkey hunt! Cindy even did a pinata for the kids and gave them matching outfits. It was quite the day! I brought stuff to help the kids make turkey bags, and Cindy got everything to hide for the hunt. My parents were away that weekend, so we spent our time with the Ady's. I also always really enjoy the Thanksgiving crafts kids bring home, like this turkey Deacon made at school saying he is thankful for his sister!

I should mention how fun our ministering group is! Our ward has put our Relief Society into groups to minister to each other and it has made things way better and easier. We love getting together each month to do something fun. This month we all went to Karma, an Indian food restaurant and had a great time. Each month we'll do something different and also message each other throughout the month and make sure everyone is taken care of!

It was pretty amazing how long the weather stayed warm. We were still having nice park dates and we made it to the corn maze to pick out our pumpkins as well! This time Jeff and Leo couldn't make it because we chose a day where the older kids were off school and met up with Emily Whiteley and her kids, as well as my mom and Scarlett. We had a really good time there doing all the activities, petting the goats of course, and picking out two big pumpkins to eventually carve.

Halloween was on a Sunday this year, so we decided to have a little party on the Friday with the Lockings. I made some soup and hotdog mummies and our friends brought over some treats and punch! The kids played with glowsticks on the trampoline in the dark, and also all around the house. We had a great time!

We carved pumpkins the day before Halloween this year. We planned on doing it with the Bennetts like we normally do, but they were sick and decided to cancel, so we invited Scarlett over instead! The boys had a pumpkin, and the girls had one. The girls did most of it themselves, with some help cleaning it out, and Jeff helped the boys with most of it. I always love watching Leo and Deacon's excitement when they grab a bunch of the guts from the pumpkin! And lighting up the pumpkins is always exciting too.

The kids wore their costumes to school of course, and then when Halloween came we all went out trick or treating together. We decided that it was an appropriate thing to do together on a Sunday. Bentley decided she wanted to be Mal from the movie "The Descendants," and then she convinced me to be Maleficent because that's Mal's mom. Deacon is obsessed with Minecraft so he was a minecraft guy and convinced Jeff to be a creeper. He was a good sport about it!! Leo was Chase from Paw Patrol and Boston was a football. Everyone looked very good. We made it to Ryan and Angie's house and then ran back because we were all so cold! My parent's visited our house after that to see their costumes and bring them a treat. Then the sorting and eating began!

Halloween can be fun, but I'm always really happy when it's over!
