Can't believe it's already the end of April! We've been waiting for this time to come since November and it's finally here! Tomorrow we leave for 2 weeks, spending the first week traveling through Italy and the second week on a cruise through Greece.
The last few weeks have been hectic as we prepare for our trip, and Jeff has been having some eventful days at work. We are so excited to have a stress free 2 weeks!
We did manage to have some fun with friends and family lately. We got together with Kinga and Frank for some dinner and cheesecake. Kinga's a fellow dental assistant of mine, but we no longer work together so we wanted to catch up! After dinner and cheesecake, we went to their home and partied until 1 in the morning chatting, and playing pool and ping pong.
For my Mom's birthday my family decided to all get babysitters (I didn't have to worry about that!) and go out to eat, adults only. My dad picked an amazing restaurant called "The Sultan's Tent." We had a big Moroccan feast and ate with our hands! It was really fun to get everyone together and have a good and VERY long evening. We got to the restaurant at 7 and didn't finish until about 10:30. We enjoyed the full experience!
Today has been a shopping and packing day. Me and Jeff have been busy making sure we are prepared for Europe and have everything we need. Thanks to Jeff's mom Cindy Ady, my suitcase has never been so organized! She let me borrow her traveling packs which make everything so tidy!
We got some Euros as well. We are ready and TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!! (that one's for my Dad).
You will hear from me in 2 weeks time but for now, Ciao? Arrivederci? I will work on that...

Our trip to Edmonton
A couple of weekends ago Jeff and I went to Edmonton to make a couple of visits. Some of my family were going so we decided to go as well and visit with my grandparents. It was the first time we got to travel in our new truck, which was a wonderful experience! We didn't have to listen to the loud muffler the entire way (like we did in Jeff's car) or the wind blow in the unsealed window (like we do in my car).
We got to have dinner with my grandparents and family at Pearl River, which is the best Chinese restaurant I know. Then we had a Rook tournament with the 4 couples - me and Jeff not doing so well. I guess we are still getting used to the way each other plays...
Well, we had a fun time visiting my grandparents. Whenever I go to their house I look through their scrapbooks, as my grandma is always working on them and there are always new photos to see. I liked this one so I took a picture of it.
While we were in Edmonton, I also got to visit my old roommate, Erin. In our college days we were super tight, and even worked together in the summer time painting houses. I happened to come a few days after she had her second baby so it worked out well! Who doesn't like to hold a new baby?
It was fun to see Erin looking exactly the same as she always did...even after having 2 babies. We visited and caught up with each others lives.
Besides Jeff telling me how much he hates Edmonton and all the pot holes (I swear there weren't that many when I lived there), it was a good trip!
